𝗝𝗲𝗿𝘂𝘀𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗺, 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲
The genocidal state of Israel has seized planning and construction powers in the West Bank City of Hebron to crush our municipal authority, shatter signed civic guarantees, and expand its colonial settler rule inside the UNESCO-listed Old City, where our homes, markets, mosques, streets, and public institutions endure Israeli military coercion.
Dimitri Diliani, Member of the Revolutionary Council and Spokesperson for Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction, said: “Bezalel Smotrich’s takeover around the Ibrahimi Mosque and his approval of a settler school expansion shatter the civic guarantees of the 1997 Hebron Agreement. More than 1,000 colonial settlers live illegitimately under full Israeli military protection among tens of thousands of our people. Israel weaponizes that enclave to fracture our city, erase our jurisdiction, and force colonial domination into the daily life of Hebron.”
Diliani added: “This Israeli assault lands beside 2,162 new colonial settlement units approved earlier this month, including 234 near Hebron, 1,006 near Jerusalem, and 922 near Nablus.”
Fateh’s Reformist Democratic Faction affirmed that Hebron remains a frontline of our national endurance, and that Israel’s seizure of civic authority attacks our right to govern, build, worship, trade, and remain on our land.
